Dr. Bressett

Dr. John Bressett did his undergraduate studies at the University of New Hampshire Graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science with a minor in Botany. Following graduation he was accepted to the Graduate School of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He graduated in 1976 with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition. He then managed the University of Nebraska Medical School’s Animal Research Facility.  He returned to Cornell in 1978 to pursue his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine graduating in 1982. He owned a mixed animal practice in Vermont for over 20 years before moving to Tucson to become medical director of Veterinary Emergency of Tucson. In 2005 he moved to Gainesville, MO to an abandoned dairy farm. In Jan of 2014 he opened the Midway Animal Clinic. Dr. Bressett’s areas of interest include cardiology, nutrition, behavior and ophthalmology.


Dr. Bliss

 Dr. Margaret Bliss was born and raised in New Hampshire. She attended the University of New Hampshire and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pre Veterinary Medicine. She was accepted to the University of Pennsylvania in 1982 and received her Veterinary Medical Degree in 1986. She then worked as an associate veterinarian for one year in Pennsylvania and several years in New Jersey. She then married and started a house call Veterinary practice in Central New Jersey. After 7 years of working for and by herself, she returned to being an associate Veterinarian for a large 6 person practice near Atlantic City New Jersey. After her husband’s retirement they moved to Mountain Home in 2008. She practiced at The Bull Shoals Pet Clinic for 5 years, and in 2014 joined the Midway Animal Clinic.


Has been involved with animals most of her life, enjoying various levels of canine obedience, dog showing, equine training, and abandoned animal rescue work. She has concentrated on the veterinary technician field since 1992, working with small animals, exotics and equine. Amongst her family of three children her home is shared with three bulldogs, two cats, two leopard geckos and seven ball pythons.



 Amber has been a veterinary assistant for the last 12 years and has had the pleasure of working with a variety of species. She moved to Arkansas in 2008 from California. She has a wonderful fiancé, one child, one Pit Bull, two cats, and a horse.
